North Wildwood National Night Out will be here before we know it!
This year's event is being held Tuesday, August 1st, at Bill Henfey Park - gates open at 5:30 pm. This year marks our 11th year of our event!
For those of you not familiar with the Event, National Night Out is a nationwide annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Over 38 million neighbors celebrate together in 16,125 communities from all 50 states, U.S. Territories, Canadian cities, and Military bases worldwide.
The goal of National Night Out is to have an opportunity for our City to promote the kind of spirit, energy, and determination to work together to help make our neighborhoods a safer place year round. Additionally, it sends a loud and clear message to criminals that makes them aware that the neighborhood and the police are united.
We, the National Night Out Committee, would like to take a moment to invite you to come out an set up a booth at one of the most exciting local events of the season. Families from all over the county will be attending and seeing your business/organization at work supporting your community and local first responders. What a great way to advertise or promote what your business or organization is about first hand to thousands of people!
This event is completely free to the public therefore we respectfully ask that everyone refrain from selling anything at the event. However, feel free to use this as the effective form of advertising or membership drive that it can be. Many previous participants have had interactive games or activities for the children/families and offer prizes and giveaways at their table.
This year's event will once again include great music, BBQ, games and activities for the children, as well as a Movie After Dark – don't forget to bring your chair or blanket to sit on. If you are interested in setting up a table and tent for this year's event, make a donation, or have any questions please feel free to contact the NW NNO Committee at the North Wildwood Police Department at 522-2030 x 1503, or E-mail NWnationalnightout@nwpd.org.
