CODE ENFORCEMENT INFORMATION

 DOES NORTH WILDWOOD HAVE A NOISE ORDINANCE ?

According to Municipal Ordinance 308

No person shall unreasonably make, continue or cause to be made or continued any noise disturbance. Noncommercial public speaking and public assembly activities conducted on any public space or public right-of-way shall be exempted from the operation of this section.

The following acts, and the causing thereof, are declared to be in violation of this chapter:

  • RESIDENTIAL NOISE: Radios, television sets, musical instruments and similar devices between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. the following day, in such a manner as to create a noise disturbance across a real property boundary. 
  • BUSINESS NOISE: Loading, unloading, opening, closing or other handling of boxes, crates, containers, building materials, garbage cans or similar objects, between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. the following day, in such a manner as to cause a noise disturbance across a residential real property boundary.
  • CONSTRUCTION NOISE: The construction, demolition, excavation, alteration or repair of any building in a residential or business district other than between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, except in case of urgent necessity in the interest of public safety.

HOW DO I REPORT A PROPERTY THAT IS UNKEMPT ?

The City and Police Department recognize that property issues can have a direct impact on quality of life, crime, and the ability of residents to feel safe within their neighborhoods.  In the ongoing effort to improve the quality of life for the residents and visitors of North Wildwood, the Police Department has established and manages the Code Enforcement Division for the investigating and enforcing of the Municipal Ordinances in the City of North Wildwood. The civilian staffed Code Enforcement Bureau monitors and enforces local codes including but not limited to animal control, property maintenance, zoning, planning and construction issues.

TRASH / RECYCLING SCHEDULE

The Trash & Recycling schedule can be found HERE

The City does not offer recycling bins, but does have the trash and recycle stickers available.  In order to have an appliance removed, the property owner is required to contact the CITY CLERKS OFFICE to pay a fee of $20.00 for each item and the City Clerk will arrange the pick up.
